ROAD MILLING PICKS
Road milling picks (also called pavement milling teeth) are wear parts mounted on the drums of road milling machines and cold recyclers. They cut and remove asphalt and cement layers during road repair and reconstruction.
Our picks are designed so that the cutter body and cutter teeth wear evenly, reducing cutting resistance and improving efficiency. The main components are the cutter head, shank, retaining circlip, and locking card.
The carbide tip is made from YG8C tungsten‑cobalt alloy (around 88–89 HRC) for high hardness, wear resistance and impact strength. The cutter body uses 42CrMo wear‑resistant steel, heat‑treated to about 44–46 HRC, so the body and teeth wear together. The shank is precision‑machined to ensure smooth rotation in the tool holder while preventing the pick from falling out. The retaining spring and locking card securely hold the pick in the holder under heavy impact.
We offer picks with 20 mm and 22 mm shank diameters for different milling machines and cold recyclers, suitable for asphalt, cement, and cold‑recycling applications.
